Sesajen is probably one of the most crucial and sacred Hinduism religious practices in Bali. Sesajen is a form of appreciation and respect to the god/goddess of Bali.

You will see this small plate of flowers, food, and rice mostly everywhere even in front of your door hotel. It is recommended not to charge any negative comment and especially to step on this thing on purpose.

Un sesajen c'est ce petit bouquet que vous pouvez apercevoir en photo. Les hindous s'en servent comme offrandre au dieu de Bali. Vous en verrez partout, devant des temples ou même devant la porte de votre hôtel. Evitez de marcher dessus ou de faire des commentaires négatifs.

Do’s: Try Balinese cuisine/Testez la nourriture locale

Don’ts: stranded in Kuta/A ne pas faire: rester à Kuta

Kuta is one of the most cockeyed places for tourist to dwell in cheap liquors, abundant of shopping avenues and of course tourist traps...you name it. Please explore other places.

Bali is doubtlessly enormous, you can go surfing, hiking, diving and even visit several tomb raider style temples. Go and explore the island! Go Find other sides of Bali that can take your breath away.

Kuta c'est le paradis de touristes et je peux comprendre pourquoi (soirée à gogo, shopping à gogo, plage à gogo...), mais ca ne résume pas l'Indonesie. Je vous invite vraiment à vous perdre un peu et à visiter d'autres coins de l'Ile.

Do’s: Respect the culture/A faire:Respecter la culture

There are several sacred places scattered all over the island’s nook and corner. Sacred spots can be a huge tree, a garden or even a section of the beach can be sacred. Please be thoughtful when visiting these places. Wear appropriate attire when visiting the temples and make sure that you are capable of following the rules.

Il y a beaucoup de choses sacrées en Indonésie (qui ne seraient pas forcément considérées comme étant sacrées en Occident). Un arbre ou un jardin peuvent être sacrés, ou même un bout de la plage. Merci de respecter les lieux. Pensez à vous couvrir un peu si vous visitez les temples.

Do’s: pre-cautious for buying things/A faire: se méfier quand on fait du shopping

Bali can be an intricate place for buying/purchasing goods or services. First thing for sure, you will find the price gap is quite obvious between locals and tourists. If you are a smart negotiator this is the place where you can put everything into practice or you can avoid certain places to buy things at a decent price.

Bali is one of the most gorgeous places in the entire world (okay, I'm Indonesian but still :p). It can be touristy sometimes but surely if you find the right place and the right crowd, you will find the best time of your life.

Premièrement, vous verrez que les touristes auront tendance à payer plus que les locaux pour le même produit.

Si vous êtes un bon négociateur, c'est le moment de le montrer. Pensez à éviter les coins trop touristiques pour faire de bonnes affaires.
